The only bank that is State Bank of India do not recognized IBPS scores for selection of candidates on clerical posts. SBI has its own recruitment process for selection of candidates on the posts of clerk. The Bank issues notification every year for the recruitment of candidates in its branches across India.
Here is brief about complete process of SBI Clerk Recruitment 2013.
State Bank Of India requires from candidates to satisfy minimum eligibility criteria in terms of Age, Citizenship, qualification and experience for selection on clerical posts and associated 5 other banks as follows
Nationality – Candidates applying for the post of clerk jobs in State Bank of India must be citizen of India.
Age Limit – Age limit for unreserved or other category that is required by State Bank of India for recruitment of Clerks is – Minimum age 18 Years and Maximum Age 28 Years. A candidate of reserved category as per Government rules can get relaxation from upper age limit. Below is table showing Maximum age relaxation for candidates of reserved category

Unreserved category candidates seeking job with SBI as clerk should have a degree from any recognized university with 60% marks in their 12th Standard. However, candidates of reserved category i.e. SC/ST/EX-servicemen/PWD should posses at least 55% marks in 12th standard along with a degree in any discipline.
Candidates satisfying above mentioned minimum eligibility criteria can apply for clerical posts subject to notification and any other new rules made by SBI.
The selection process of clerks for State Bank of India and associated 5 banks are consisting of written test and interviews.
Written Test- the written test that a candidate should qualify with minimum marks as required by bank consists of general awareness, general English, quantitative aptitude test, reasoning and computer knowledge.
Important points –
- Any candidate providing wrong answer will suffer a negative marking of .25%.
- All papers except English will be in English and Hindi
- A relaxation of 5% is given to candidates of reserved category in qualifying marks of written examination
Interview – Candidates who qualify written exam are called for interviews. A ratio that is generally 1:3 of total vacancy or as per vacancy of Bank are called for interview. Reservation of 5% is provided to candidates of reserved category in interview.
Recruitment of candidates is made on basis of final merit of written exam and interview.
