IBPS (Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection) is the strongest entrance platform that is being used by the nationalized banks in India for the purpose of selection of the most efficient and suitable candidates for the various vacancies that arise in these banks from time to time. The operations of the IBPS started in the year 1975, when it started off as PSS (Personnel Selection Services). The institute is a self governed agency which has established itself as the most trustworthy and competent body to help the various banking and other institutions to select the most appropriate profiles for the positions which occur on a timely basis. There are 20 nationalized banks which follow the platform of IBPS and there are numerous RRBs (Regional Rural Banks) also which follow this process. IBPS Specialist Officer Recruitment 2013 Details:

IBPS has notified about the various vacancies which are related to the various government banks which follow the IBPS platform in various departments and scales. For these vacancies, IBPS would be conducting a Common Written Test and subsequently the interviews. These vacancies are for the positions of – IT officers, Agricultural field officers, Rajbhasha Adhikari, Law officers, Technical officers, HR/Personnel officers, Marketing Officers, IT Officers, Law officers, Chartered Accountants, and Finance executives. These positions belong to the scale 1 and scale 2 in the banks in which the vacancies have arisen. The total number of vacancies would be notified by the banks on an individual basis as and when the vacancies arise in the previously mentioned departments. When the vacancies would be notified, there would be reservations on these vacancies applicable as per the government instructions on this matter.

Who are eligible of SO post :

The age limit that has been defined by the IBPS to be eligible to apply for the examination and the process is 20 years to 35 years. The upper and lower age limits would vary for different positions depending upon the policies for the various vacancies. The upper age limits would be relaxed for the positions based on the instructions of the government for the candidates who belong to the reserved categories.

The educational qualifications required for the available positions are that the candidates should have Engineering/ MBA/ PGDBM/ CA/ LLB/ Degree/ PG, whichever is applicable for the desired position.

Selection Procedure:

The candidates who will be screened on the basis of their educational qualifications, age, etc. would be required to appear for the CWE conducted by the IBPS. The qualifying candidates will then be appearing for a common interview process, which would determine the final selection decision of the various banks involved.

Online Apply Process:

The applications can be submitted through online mode by filling and submitting the application forms on the website of IBPS. Besides this, the candidates may also apply through the offline mode by making the fee payment in Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Central Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, and United Bank of India branches. The last date for online applications is 28th January 2013 and for the offline mode it is 1st February 2013.
